YOUR role & Saturated Fats

We all know (or should) the difference between Saturated fats and Unsaturated fats. Unsaturated fats can be beneficial to your heart, whereas Saturated fats are known to be the cause of many heart related diseases.
Saturated fats are mostly found in animal products and processed foods, such as meats, dairy, eggs, pastries as well as coconut, palm and palm kernel oils – they are solid at room temperature and clog our arteries. They are known for raising your LDL cholesterol (“bad” cholesterol).
In contrast, Unsaturated fats can lower LDL cholesterol and raise HDL cholesterol ("good" cholesterol) they can be found foods such as, olive oil, nuts, peanut oil, canola oil olives, avocados & nuts they tend to be liquid at room temperature.

"How to cook with less fat, without re-inventing the original recipe?"

As Foodies it is our duty to ensure that the food we prepare not only feeds the palate but also the soul.
