The Pumpkin

“Large melon” known today as the Pumpkin is loaded with an important antioxidant, beta-carotene and is renowned for its special properties which offer protection against diseases and slows aging!

The origins of pumpkin pie can be traced back to when the colonists sliced off the pumpkin top, removed the seeds, and filled the insides with milk, spices and honey, then baked it in hot ashes. Popular recipes include Pumpkin Pancakes, Pumpkin Soup, Traditional Pumpkin Pie the most interesting being Pumpkin Wontons served with a scope of vanilla ice cream; we look forward to receiving your favourites!
